About the Hyundai Elantra

A roomy small sedan with a sharp look and lots of tech for the money. It feels bigger inside than most cars in its class. A hybrid version gets very good gas mileage.

Calm and easy to drive. Not fast, but fine in traffic. The Hybrid is the smoothest and quietest around town.

Tip: Hyundai’s warranty is long. On a used one, check the miles left on the powertrain warranty.

  • Does it start with a key or a button? If a key, was the anti-theft update done?
  • Which trim is it, exactly?
  • Any open recalls, and were they fixed?
  • Can I see the service records?
